Picking Butterfly Wind Chimes

Both the sight and sound of butterfly wind chimes can enhance your garden. Wind chimes, while aesthetically pleasing, also have pragmatic purposes. For many generations, people have used wind chimes to help bring them good luck or keep away bad luck. Wind chimes can be intricately carved and decorated, and through the years they have found their way into many religious structures and homes as lovely works of art.

Originally conceived to help forecast weather, wind chimes are now used more for enjoyment of both their look and sound. If you want your chime to make melodic notes, there are a variety of possible materials (wood, glass, metal, and bamboo are just a few examples). It’s not unheard of to have multiple sets in an area, because different materials are used for the different tones in the chimes.

Better meditation is possible when you relax to the melodic tones of a wind chime. The sonorous vibrations from wind chimes can be a relaxing influence on your mind. The idea is to block out the bothersome external noises and replace them with more positive sounds.
